The floor in Cornell’s gymnasium is comprised of 29,000 square feet of Robbins’ 1” thick Lock-Tite flooring.  The floor is unique, because the face width of the maple flooring strips is only 1-1/2”; clip-fastened maple floors are not regularly milled in any width other than 2-1/4”.  The maple flooring for this project had to be manufactured specially for this project.  The installation was completed in September, 1989.
